Freedom is the nature of our holidays and that starts at the very beginning! Our villas are priced separately, giving you the freedom to select your own method of travel. However, we can advise you on travel arrangements to suit you, whether you choose to fly or drive to your accommodation. And with our Price Match Promise on both ferries and flights (see below), you’ll be sure you’re getting the best deal too.
Carhire
Unless you choose to drive in your own car to your holiday accommodation, you will probably need to hire a car. It will be essential for you to have a car at most of our accommodation, unless specifically specified otherwise in the individual property description. If you’re not sure, or specifically don’t want to use a car on your holiday, then ask us for advice about suitable properties.
We are able to offer a wide range of cars in all of our areas, but it’s best to book early to be sure of getting the car of your choice, especially if you require a specific type of car, such as a minibus or jeep. Note: our holidays in Lefkada and Meganissi include car hire in our “inclusive package” option.

Ferries and Crossings
Whilst there are many flight options to our featured destinations, we know that taking your own car and arriving at your own pace is a fantastic way to start your holiday. We can book Eurotunnel and all the main ferry routes to France and Spain for you at excellent rates - which include car breakdown cover for the duration of your holiday.
As ever, all of our ferry bookings are backed with a Price Match Promise. If you find the same crossing (same route, time, operator) at a cheaper price than we have quoted, and send us written confirmation, we will match the price.

OvernightStays
An overnight hotel stop is a great way to break your journey, or extend your holiday at either end. We can recommend a wide variety of locations, which make attractive stopping places, and can book from a choice of thousands of European hotels for you at the best prices. Once again, our reservations team will do all the work for you, just call us and let us do the rest!

Airport Extras
There’s so much more to planning your holiday than just booking your accommodation and flight! An early morning flight may mean getting up in the middle of the night, but also means flying before the airport gets too busy and arriving at your villa in time for a lunchtime swim!
Essential extras, such as car parking or an overnight hotel at your chosen departure airport, can help to smooth your journey and get you in the holiday mood before your aircraft has even taken off! Luxuries, such as taxi transfers to your departure airport or a chance to relax in a VIP departure lounge, can provide even greater benefit – and often cost a lot less than you might imagine!
When planning your journey to the airport, remember the following tips:
- Airport car parks can get fully-booked in advance at busy times of the year, so pre-booking is a necessity rather than a convenience. Pre-booked parking prices are also usually significantly cheaper than turn-up and pay rates.
- Hotels at or near airports often offer excellent stay-and-park packages, so you can often spend the night before (or after) your holiday at a hotel and park your car for the duration of your holiday for very little more than the normal cost of parking your car.
- Airport hotels get booked up well in advance at busy times of the year and may have limited parking spaces, so pre-booking is essential.
- Taxi or chauffeur transfers to your departure airport save time and are often cheaper than you might think. Remember that you will save on your planned parking costs and your own fuel. Being dropped off and picked up right at your departure terminal can save up to 1 hour on departure and arrival.
- Airport departure lounges may be a luxury, but do take you away from over-crowded terminals and make you feel thoroughly pampered from the start of your holiday.
Currency
Even with growing acceptance of credit cards, you will still need some euros in cash, right from the start of your holiday – and don’t forget the high costs of drawing cash from your own account back home, when abroad.
